Writer Month - Nana Ekua Brew Hammond Author & Copywriter

There’s a phrase by the legendary author, Toni Morrison that’s often repeated, it’s this:

"If there’s a book you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.”

And that’s what our guest today, NANA EKUA BREW HAMMOND has done.

She’s a writer, her books include a children’s book called BLUE, and a YA novel called Powder Necklace. In her latest book, she’s taken on the role of EDITOR - of an anthology of African and Diaspora voices that came out in February 2022. It’s called‘RELATIONS.’

Her writing career started as a side-hustle, and on today’s show we’ll learn how she turned that into into a creative expression of the immigrant Ghanaian-American experience.
